Organizing Business Matching, Taiwan’s Health Industry Highlights Bilateral Collaboration Opportunities

BONSERNEWS.com – The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has successfully held the Business Matching Taiwan Healthcare Industry Trade Mission to Indonesia in July 2023 in Jakarta and Surabaya.

At the event, TAITRA brought together Taiwanese and Indonesian healthcare businesses and industry players in a productive discussion and planned potential collaborations.

TAITRA Jakarta Manager, Tiffany Wang said, in this event TAITRA held 91 face-to-face meetings between seven healthcare companies from Taiwan and approximately 30 companies from Indonesia, and also encouraged fruitful discussions about health service innovation, advanced medical care, and possible future collaboration.

“Indonesia’s healthcare market presents significant opportunities with its large population of over 270 million people and a rapidly growing middle class. The increasing demand for quality health care services and products is further supported by the commitment of the Indonesian government to improve healthcare infrastructure and expand outreach.” he told journalists, Saturday 8 July 2023.

A number of Taiwanese companies attending introduced their latest solutions and technologies, including BIOSENSETEK CORP. which features wearable IoT telemetry systems for remote patient monitoring, while ALGER TECHNOLOGY features high-quality nasogastric tube holders. B. GREEN TECHNOLOGY introduces “Intelligent Elderly Comprehensive Fitness Solution” which integrates IoT-enabled exercise and rehabilitation equipment.

ANFA Clinic offers comprehensive inclusive health management services. In addition, three hospitals share their expertise in international healthcare. Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital is renowned for its premier executive medical examinations, cardiovascular surgery, and robotic-assisted surgery.

National Taiwan University Hospital (Yunlin Branch) offers organ transplants, treatment of cancer, rare disorders, and aesthetic surgery. Far Eastern Memorial Hospital is internationally recognized for remote medicine, minimally invasive surgery, cancer treatment and organ transplantation.

Along with the business matching event, company representatives participating in the Taiwan Healthcare Trade Mission also visited and met with representatives from EMC (Alam Sutera) Hospital in Jakarta Tangerang, Airlangga University Hospital in Surabaya, RSUD Dr. Mohamad Soewandhie in Surabaya as well as discussions with the Association of Indonesian Hospitals (PERSI) to further exchange industry knowledge and market insights.

Meanwhile, the East Java branch of the Association of Indonesian Hospitals (PERSI). Didi Darmahadi Dewanto extended a warm invitation to Taiwan hospital and medical equipment companies to participate in the prestigious annual Hospital association conference and exhibition.

Representatives from Taiwan hospitals expressed their gratitude for the good relations established during the event. Dr. Chen from Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital emphasized the importance of establishing relationships with local stakeholders, especially ICATI alumni, who have studied in Taiwan and maintain a good image for Taiwan. Dr. Li from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital appreciated the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and validate their approach to collaborate effectively with Indonesian hospitals and facilitators.
